I just came back from São Paulo and the soccer world cup is starting in 4 days. I’ve been watching Brazilian news to see how the preparations are going. There are still no street lamps at São Paulo stadium and construction works are going on around it.
So many days of São Paulo metro strikes and absolute chaos in traffic, with the World Cup about to start.
Brazilian serenity…
The most heard sentence in Brazil during the last years when something didn’t quite go so well was „Imagina na Copa“ – just imagine during the World Cup.
And now, just at the threshold of the World Cup: is everything just working out or will it be a desaster as so many Brazilians are fearing?
German station’s (ZDF) reporter takes a dig: „The friendly against Serbia is taking place in another stadium, F.C. São Paulo’s one, because that is ready at least“
